Planned Giving
Many of us share our lives with animal companions. They're our better selves, in many ways: They never judge, they're always so full of joy, and they bestow unconditional love. But not every animal finds its forever home with a person who will return that love and provide for its creature comforts.
That's where you can help. If the life you've lived has been enriched by an animal, we encourage you to consider a gift that will help provide care and comfort for less fortunate animals after you're gone.
Remarkably, 7 out of 10 Americans will die this year without a leaving a will of any kind. That means state governments will decide for them how their assets should be distributed. Please make sure your will reflects your dedication to animals by indicating a special gift to the Doris Day Animal Foundation.
You can make a difference by including a simple clause in your will expressing your desire to make a contribution. Possible phrasing might include:
"I give and bequeath to the Doris Day Animal Foundation, a not-for-profit corporation (Federal Tax ID #95-3197011), located at 8033 Sunset Blvd., #845, Los Angeles, California 90046:
- a cash bequest of $______ ,
- a percentage (_ %) of my estate,
- all the rest, residue and remainder of my estate,
for the uses and purposes of said corporation."
